Our Story

Our team of Master Trainers began training together as a combined effort to help other people learn to train their dogs.  We wholeheartedly believe that a well-trained dog is a loved dog.

The first two dogs that brought our group into existence, one for search and rescue and the other as a wheat/gluten detection Medical Assistance Dog, were two of a kind!  Max was training to be a search & rescue dog and Levi started out as a herding dog.  As time went on, Levi turned out to be the very first gluten detection service dog.  He saves his handler's life on a daily basis by detecting the presence of wheat in food, a substance his handler is highly allergic to. Max became certified in search and rescue and would become the area's first Pet Finder dog.  Max has assisted in several search and rescue efforts in our local area to find missing kids and adults. And if your dog got lost, Max would do his doggone best to find your dog.

As trainings commenced from 2017, our group of trainers worked with the dogs as more of a hobby than anything and began helping other people with their dogs.  As time went on, more and more people requested for their dogs to be trained.  So, what started as a group of people training dogs together for fun, became a widely-recognized team of trainers in the local area, and then COVID-19 hit with all the shut-downs and restrictions! New Mexico was shut down and even upon approval of re-gathering for activities, we were met with great challenges to remain active and to re-build.

Allegiance K-9 was born after COVID changed the entire landscape of boarding and training.  Our desire at Allegiance K-9 is to continue helping people who are community minded, and desire to have a trained therapy dog for visits into the surrounding businesses and communities.  Our brand new boarding and training (Doggie FunPlex) facility is under construction but we will continue to have special training events, specialized trainings, daycare, grooming, and therapy dog training.... and the best is yet to come! Stay tuned as we continue to add services, locations and facilities to cover all your dog training needs.

From the Owner . . .

"My passion is dogs. I love to see how much a well-trained dog can help people navigate life through the hard times, the great times, the fun times, and the challenging times.  Dogs are just amazing creatures, created by God for us to enjoy and I believe to help us live life to the fullest. I've personally witnessed the life changing effects dogs have on people who own them. We need dogs. And they need us, too. So, when I say a well-trained dog is a loved dog, I mean that from the bottom of my heart. We would love for you to come visit our doggie campus and see for yourself just how much your dog loves us and how much your dog means to us. We are by no means one of those fancy facilities like you find in the big city . . .no . . . we are just down to earth country people living on a 40 acre farm who find fulfillment in helping people. I'm committed to helping you enjoy your dog to the fullest and when you need to leave town on vacation or business, we're here to help you care for your dog. Come see us! We can't wait to meet you and your pup!"

Many Blessings!

“. . . the best dog training location around. They're friendly, attentive, focused, able to attune to each individual dogs needs during all sessions communicative, supportive and not fearful of any possible aggressive dogs, and overall wonderful. I brought in my puppy, who I thought was showing signs of aggression, and now, not even two months later, he's friendlier, more focused, and less stressed.  They were able to give me clarity that my boy wasn't aggressive, he was scared!  I highly recommend to all dog owners and I won't be taking my business elsewhere anytime soon!”

“AMAZING Team. Highly recommended.  I was fearful to bring my Jenny to the Saturday group class. I thought others might judge my poorly behaved dog.  The trainers were amazing and the people have been incredibly supportive.  Both Jenny and I love going to class! Thank you!”
