Why board your dog with Allegiance K-9?

Because we are trainers! The staff that operates the boarding facility are Trainers and that makes all the difference with your pup!  We know how to handle dogs and when we pick up a leash, we're properly handling your K9!  Your dog will love staying with us because we know how to read dogs! (We speak dog... no, really... we do!)  They will be handled right and will be loved and cared for in a way that makes transitioning back home easy on you!  And . . .

Our facility is different.  We don't have bland commercial kennels with small runs and slick floors (suites) where the dog lives in solitary confinement (doggy jail) without dog or human interaction during their stay.  NO!! We have a fun, dog-centered facility with individual kennels for sleeping and eating, and large yards for the dogs to play in together, to release all that stored-up energy.  We have trainers that go out and play with the dogs in social groups, on a rotation throughout the day, and the only time they are kept in their kennels is for sleeping or eating. Our facility is located on a small family farm with lots of other animals and staff that live on site for the safety of all the animals.

Prices are subject to change based on the size of your dog and the condition of your dog's coat.

Standard exit baths are $45 but depending on the condition of your dog's coat and the size of your dog, surcharges may apply. (Cash Price)

  • Why Schedule a Temp Test?

Why schedule a temp test before you drop off for boarding for the very first time?  Our temp test is more of an optional meet & greet.  We want to meet your dog, and we want your dog to meet us.  That way, when you arrive for your scheduled drop off day your dog is happy and excited to see us again and it greatly reduces the stress your dog may experience boarding in a new place.

THE MEET AND GREET IS OPTIONAL, AND NOT REQUIRED UNLESS YOUR DOG IS AGGRESSIVE, FEARFUL, OR HAS OTHER ISSUES IN A KENNEL SETTING YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT.

Text 575-769-0231 to schedule a temp test.

  • What To Bring & What Not To Bring

    FOOD:

Bring your dog's food portioned in a ziplock baggie or paper lunch bag for each day.  For example, if your dog is staying with us for 14 days and is normally served 2 cups in the morning and 2 cups at night, you'll need to bring 14 baggies of food with 4 cups of food in each baggie. Please don't send food bowls unless your dog needs a slow feeder, and you may bring a slow feeder labeled with your dog's name on it. It's a good idea to send extra food because sometimes the dogs play so much they are extra hungry, or travel delays may cause an extra overnight stay with us. Please plan accordingly. Our food can be purchased for $2 per cup if your dog runs out of food while staying with us. If you are staying longer than 10 nights, we are ok with you bringing a tub or sealed airtight container of food with a scoop instead of individually bagging the food for your dog's stay. We just don't have room to store large sacks of food for every dog that stays with us.

    BLANKET:

Bring a cheap fleece blanket that you have slept on or that has your smell on it.  No fluffy blankets or beds with foam or stuffing are allowed in the kennel.  This is for the safety of all dogs in the kennel. Blankets may or may not come back in one piece especially if your dog has separation anxiety, so please plan accordingly.

    KONG OR FAVORITE TOY:

You may send a kong or favorite toy with your dog as long as it is safe to stay in the area with your dog.  Please don't send ropes or any toy that can be ripped apart easily or shredded.

    MEDICINE OR VITAMINS:

Please send specific instructions with any supplements or medications for your dog.  We will administer according to your instructions and will do this as a courtesy as long as they can be given as a treat or in a pill pocket. There will be extra charges for meds or supplements that cannot be easily given with food or treats.

  • Health Concerns or Limitations

Please be very upfront with us about any issues with your dog regarding their health, age, habits, or related issues. If your dog has had a recent surgery, we need to know! If your dog is a senior dog and is used to an orthopedic mattress, we are glad to make that accommodation. If your dog is normally a couch potato and their paws might not be acclimated to the outside ground and surfaces, we need to know this! If your dog loves water and prefers to dig and splash water out of the water buckets, we are glad to accommodate those dogs as well. If your dog tends to choke easily because they eat too fast, we need to be aware of their risk for choking. It is important for us to know all the particulars about your dog before they board with us so that we know exactly how to give them the most comfortable stay.

Great service is just the beginning at Allegiance K-9. In addition to having access to the best dog trainers around, your pup will enjoy a comfortable and exciting stay with us while you travel.

We invite dogs of any size or breed to stay with us.  We do recommend a temperament test before your pup stays with us for the first time.  Text us at 575-769-0231 to schedule a temp test.  Puppies under the age of 6 months must have a notice of clearance from their veterinarian clearing them for boarding.  All vaccinations must be up to date including the Bordetella vaccine which has to be given prior to boarding with us.

Dogs with major behavior issues, escape artists, non-kennel trained, or dogs that are not housebroken will automatically need to board under our Enrichment Camp program instead of the standard overnight boarding.  Rates will be charged accordingly. Enrichment Camp rates start at $1,200 for two weeks and may be more once we know exactly what training is needed.

We will administer prescription meds for your dog as a courtesy as long as they are long-term meds and can be given with food or a pill pocket.  We will not accept dogs who are currently taking prescription meds for an acute illness, disease or recovery of an acute illness.  This is for the protection of all the dogs in the kennel.  If your dog is ill, or has recently been ill, we ask that you do not bring your dog for boarding until you have been given clearance by your vet to do so. Please keep in mind, even though dogs are vaccinated for communicable diseases such as kennel cough, Parvo, flu, etc there is a chance your dog could bring something into the kennel as a carrier.  We kindly ask you to be honest and diligent in letting us know if your dog could be a carrier, has been sick, or has been in contact with another dog who may have contracted something.  Your dog should be fever free, diarrhea free, vomit free for at least 14 days before coming to our facility for boarding or training. If your dog has had a recent Parvo infection, you cannot bring your dog to our facility without a written letter of clearance from your veterinarian and at least 30 days from when the last symptom was gone. Please also know that because we allow the dogs to get lots of outside time, remember, this is Clovis and the wind blows a lot! If your dog is sensitive to being outdoors regularly (their paws are more used to carpet than to gravel) or has severe seasonal allergies we need to know about those issues so we can plan a different playtime schedule for your dog.  We will keep Zyrtec on hand at the kennel for dogs who show signs of seasonal distress and we will administer with owner's permission for $1 per dose.

We prefer our boarders to be spayed/neutered, but we will accept unaltered dogs. We generally do not put unaltered males in the same play yard together with other unaltered males unless they are from the same household or family. We will not accept dogs in heat (or who will soon be coming into heat).  If your dog goes into heat while here at our kennel, you will be notified to have someone come pick up your dog immediately.  There will be no refunds for dogs leaving early, but we will allow you to reschedule and use your balance toward another stay.  Please be upfront with us when booking if there is a chance your dog may go into heat soon. A dog in heat causes unnecessary stress on the other dogs at the kennel.

Be sure you have downloaded our app and you have completed the one-time registration for your dog through the app.  During registration, you can upload vaccination records and a picture of your dog.  As soon as you register, you will be directed in the app to sign our boarding policy and waiver. We will notify you in the app to confirm your reservation.  A non-refundable deposit of $30 is required (for all first time customers) at the time of booking to hold your spot on our calendar.
